Our apartments consist of a fairly spacious lounge and dining room with a kitchenette; a bedroom and a bathroom. They are truly accessible for physically handicapped people.
Each apartment has a veranda with a deck as well as a braai area which is also accessible for people in wheelchairs. There is a sleeper couch in the lounge which can convert into a very comfortable double bed. The kitchenette is equipped with a two plate stove, a fridge, a microwave oven, kettle and bread toaster. Linen and towels are provided. We also offer breakfast as well as other meals by prior arrangement.
Breakfast is usually served on our veranda with its beautiful view down a valley on to the Cedar Mountains as backdrop. Other meals are served, weather permitting, in The Owl Kitchen, our unique outdoor 'restaurant' under an overhanging rock and protected by trees, or in the indoor Lapa.
Safaris Tours on a safari vehicle of the Rooibos plantations and the processing plant on the second largest Rooibos tea estate. This is normally combined with a tour through parts of the estate focusing on:
- the wondrous 'secret' life of plants (e.g. the ingenious methods they adopt to lure pollinators, how they protect themselves against heat and drought)
- the awesome sandstone rock formations
- bird and wildlife. Safe hiking on the estate to enjoy the fynbos, rock formations and changing vistas at its best Shop Estate Rooibos tea, tea products and curio shop.
