Rorke's Drift Hotel
At Rorke’s Drift on the Buffalo River, Rorke’s Drift Hotel nestles below Shiyane Mountain. The views along and across the river are spectacular and full of interest, and gentle walks in our natural bush surroundings will revive and stimulate. The historic crossing which gives the area its name is within our grounds and of course there is the battlefield, just 5 minutes away, where 11 Victoria Crosses were awarded. The complementary battle of Isandlwana is a 15 minute drive. We are 35mins from Dundee and 20 mins from Nqutu.
Our comfortable modern facilities were completed in 2011 and are housed in an unique architectural design taken from the Zulu idiom, enclosing the spacious bar, lounge and dining areas with the soaring thatched roof and picture windows. Wifi is available.

Rietvlei Holiday Farm
Let your next week-end or holiday be, a never-to-be-forgotten one, near Montagu, in the Little Karoo. Peace and safety, only 200km from the chaos of Cape Town. Unwind in the freshness of unpolluted air, in the amazing beauty of our sunsets... in the serenity of uncomplicated rural life, where the climate is friendly, most of the year round.
What to expect at Rietvlei:
A 600 hectare working wine and fruit farm, where you can meet the local folk... We speak Afrikaans, English, will understand most of your Dutch and Flemish, ...may nod our heads sometimes if you speak German... or just smile if we do not understand a word... but you will still feel most welcome.
